What is NohCon?
NohCon Anime convention that began at Daemen College in Amherst, NY. Since then, a lot of work has gone on and it's blossomed greatly

Where is NohCon located?
NohCon is currently in search for a new venue to house it's ever growing population..

What is Anime?
"Anime is a style of animation originating in Japan . It is sometimes referred to as Japanimation . Anime is characterized by stark, colorful graphics, and stylized, colorful images depicting vibrant characters in a variety of different settings and storylines, aimed at a wide range of audiences. What goes on at Anime Conventions?
A convention of Anime fans enjoying anime merchandise, anime viewings, panels, concerts, video game shows, artist alley, and much more!!! It’s all about meeting people who share similar interests to yours & having fun.

How do I register?
See the Registration section of the website. All your registering needs will be handled there

Age restrictions?
Under 16 requires a written parental consent. Those under 13 are required to be accompanied by a parental unit or legal guardian (and 12 and under are also free!)

How can I get involved?
Volunteering at the con is the number way to help and get involved in the con. It comes with special perks and getting to know the entities that run the con. Posting and regularly visiting the forums will keep you as up to date as possible so try to do it often

What kinds of things are you planning?
As a convention that is based heavily on what the community wants, it's really up to you. To make you voice really heard, you should puts idea and suggestions in our forums. The more people would like something to happen, the more likely it will.

What are your Convention's Policies?

We want everyone to have an excellent con experience, so there are a few rules to ensure this. Read up on these to avoid any imperial entanglements. All decisions made by Nohcon staff.

Behavior
As a paid member of Nohcon, you can attend Nohcon. However, in order to create a safe environment, our policies at Nohcon are strictly upheld. As a general rule with such events, we will not tolerate any inappropriate, rude, or disruptive behavior. If we feel you are posing a danger or disruption to our con, yourself, and/or attendees, we can and will take action against you. Actions range from verbal warning, to expulsion from the con, to criminal charges if need be. These actions are the digression of Nohcon Staff. Be courteous to your fellow attendees- take care of each other out there and treat others as you would be treated yourself.

Weapons
We're a small college convention- if you wouldn't bring it to school- do NOT bring it here.

Weapons of any type are NOT Permitted!!!!!!!!!!

-- No Live Steel (that means any kind of steel/metal, sharp or not.)
-- NO GUNS
-- No Nunchaku
-- No explosives/chemicals/drugs

Violators of any of these rules will be permanently removed from the convention and may face subsequent charges from the local police.

Age Policies
NohCon wants to ensure the safety of all our attendees especially persons under the age of 16. In order to safeguard the well being of our younger attendees Nohcon has put the following policies into effect:

-- A parent or guardian must accompany all children under the age of all 13 at all times.
-- People under the age of 16 are required to have a parent or legal guardian sign their con registration form.
-- You are also required to carry some form of written identification and parent/guardian contact information with them at all times so that Neo Nohcon staff may contact the parents or guardians should the need arise.

Substances
Food and drink are allowed. Alcoholic beverages and illegal drugs are NOT allowed. Especially if you are a minor! This is a pretty straightforward policy.

Cameras
Cameras are fine. Video Recording Devices are allowed as well. We ask that out of courtesy, during the concerts to keep flashes to a minimum. Disruptive camera behavior will not be tolerated in any instance.
